What is the CIELO Study?
CIELO Stands for Cultivating Interpersonal Connections and Educational engagement in youths’ Lives and Online Interactions.
This research is focused on how Arizona teens’ mental health, relationships, and digital lives are all connected. We’re exploring how things like stress, support from family and friends, and digital interactions, especially in dating, affect teens’ well-being and school life.
By understanding these connections, we hope to find ways to support teens early, before small issues become bigger challenges. CIELO builds from the work of the TIES research study to reach our end goal which is to help schools, families, and communities work together to guide teens in building healthy relationships and feeling better both online and in everyday life.
