Our goal is to help schools, families, and communities work together to guide teens in building healthy relationships and feeling better both online and in everyday life.

Many systems are in place to protect participant confidentiality. We assign a unique ID to replace participant names in our records, and responses will not be shared with anyone in their home or school.

Additionally, this study has been reviewed and approved by both the school district and Arizona State University (ASU) Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Survey answers are not linked to any participant’s name. The results of the study will only be shared as a summary of answers, not individually.

Participation is voluntary, and participants can skip any questions or stop at any time without penalty.

If teens participate in all aspects of the study, they can earn up to $485 in cash incentives! Incentives are distributed after each task completed throughout the study.

By participating, you’ll receive rewards (like gift cards) as a thank-you for your time. You’ll also be helping researchers understand how things like friendships, dating, and social media impact teen mental health, relationships, and school success. Teens will complete an eligibility survey to determine whether they meet the requirements to join the study. We are looking for Arizona teens who:

• Are ages 13-17

• Own a smartphone

• Currently in a romantic relationship that started more than a month ago

• See their partner in person regularly

• Can read and understand English
